WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement whose goal is to increase the prestige of working professions around the world through the organization and holding of professional skills competitions, both in each individual country and throughout the world as a whole.

In World Skills, competencies are combined into 6 thematic blocks

  • IT technologies
  • construction industry
  • industrial production
  • Maintenance of civil transport
  • Services sector

 

Creativity and design

WorldSkills gives you the opportunity to:

  • Experts - to master new teaching methods and technologies, to participate in the formation of professional standards;
  • Employers - to select staff for themselves
  • Educational institutions - renewal of the material base.
  • Students - to study modern technologies and the best world practices, participate in regional, republican and international championships, receive job offers from employers.

Growth dynamics

in terms of coverage of competencies at the WorldSkills Regional Championship

 

Directly our college took part for the first time:

  • 2017 – 1 competency, 1 person
  • 2018 - 4 competencies, 7 people
  • 2019 - 13 competencies, 23 people
  • 2020 - was not, due to the pandemic
  • 2021 - 16 competencies for 27 students
  • 2022-17 competencies 31 students

Results of the Championship "WordSkills Aktobe - 2023".

In the period of April 17-24, 2023, the Regional Championship "WSK- Aktobe-2023" in 66 competencies was held in Aktobe.

23 students of Aktobe College of Transport, Communications and New Technologies took part in the Championship in 16 competencies.

For the Regional Championship in Railway specialties, a competition platform for five competencies was organized on the basis of the College of Transport, Communications and New Technologies:

- Management of the transportation process in railway transport

- Locomotive control

- Railway automation

- Locksmith for the repair of rolling stock

- Information cable networks, where students from other colleges took part: "ALT Aktobe Humanitarian and Technical College", "Kandyagash Industrial and Economic College", "Shalkar Agrarian and Technical College", "Aktobe College of Industrial Technologies and Management", "Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College".

According to the results of the Championship, our college took a worthy team third place:

  • 1st place – 6 students
  • 2nd place – 2 students
  • 3rd place – 6 students
  • Medallion - 1 student
